Don’t Get Distracted

So a few weeks ago I wrote about how long it took for me to actually follow Gods calling on my life and start writing. Well, I kind of like to think of this blog as being its sequel. As I explained in I Have No Voice, I finally accepted that God has plans for [...]

To The Mom With The Screaming Toddler

I actually didn’t expect to write this blog today, but it just so happens that my son thought to himself, “hey, my mom should write about how crazy and insane toddlers can be while out and about, so I’m gonna have a tantrum right here in Food For Less so she can blog about it [...]

I Have No Voice

October 20, 2016by Living In Green Pastures2 Comments on I Have No Voice

My hands sat at the keyboard for minutes before I would let them exercise. How long have I been contemplating what may be my God-given gift? How many times have I gotten excited, only to believe my voice is small and unimportant?  Too many. I have often searched my heart for Gods calling on my [...]

Sea Lion show=the favorite part of my day! #seaworld #getoutside #sealionsforlife
If you come to my house, chances are you’ll see an open bible somewhere. It may be scribbled on, highlighted, or it may just be open with no added notes. Why? Because it’s my reminder to keep coming back to the word of God; to the Truth. I need this book more than I need anything else. How do you remind yourself to seek truth? #thewordofgod #seektruth
TWO years old today!! I can’t. I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. My sweet answered prayer, Ava 😘 Thank you to our families who helped put together a “pretty in pink” party for our beautiful girl!! #Avais2 #birthdaygirl #loveofmylife #Godisfaithful
These two 😂 Ezra wanted to be a Red Dino Charge Power Ranger with last nights goggles from our epic nerf gun battle. And Ava, well she wanted to be a diva with her stunna shades and make-shift gloves which are actually her socks🤦🏼‍♀️😂 #youdoyou
I make a lot of meals. I clean up even more messes. I train, love, and teach two small humans. I organize schedules for my children and husband. I run errands, drive my family to appointments and commitments, and I’m in charge of the day to day of our home. And I hate to admit it, but this last week I became bitter about my responsibilities. I became a little less than enthusiastic about disciplining my toddlers tantrum. I became resentful that I was doing another mountain of dishes. But it was this bitterness that forced me to go to God about my sour mood. Isn’t it usually in our weakness that we look up? . After praying, I realized I had two choices: I could be thankful, or I could be resentful. And after I took a step back and got out of my head, it was obvious I HAD to pick thankfulness. I am living out the role God has so graciously given me. A role I never thought possible, a role I’ve wanted for many, many years. Sometimes, we just need to take a break. We need to catch our breath, refuel, and reflect on all the miracles God has and is doing. That is a thankful heart
Yesterday we stepped into another adventure! After finding a curriculum that I could actually teach (y’all know I’ve never seen myself as a teacher) we began homeschooling!! He had a great first day, and I’m excited to watch him grow this next year before he goes into Kindergarten!! #mybabygrewup #oneyeartillkindergarten #homeschoolingmom
